CJ was the best at teaching us how to dive. I never thought I would be able to dive but CJ was able to work with me and now I can't wait to get my advanced open water certification. Thank you CJ... you’re the best there is!
Went on my first dive with BID. I obtained my PADI OWD certification and plan to return to obtain my advanced certification very soon. The energy and environment was positive, friendly and fun. I felt welcome, comfortable and confident on my trip despite my status as a novice diver. I chalk that up to the friendly and knowledgeable guidance of the Dive Instructor CJ and chemistry of the Bone Island crew. On our dives, we saw everything from Lionfish to reef sharks to a Loggerhead turtle. Genuinely the experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend anyone to check them out!
CJ and Lisa were great to work with to arrange our son and daughter-in-law’s special engagement. CJ was extremely flexible on our greatest hopes and made it happen. CJ and [Captain] Turtle were the most friendliest, down to earth, (almost felt like family) type of people. They were very informative of the area and told us the history of the mangroves. CJ and Lisa were so awesome! It was my boyfriend’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him with a special gift and they helped me pull it off. The boat Bad to the Bone was super comfy and had a great sound system. The water at Snipes beach was so beautiful and the afternoon couldn’t have been more perfect! We highly recommend Bone Island Divers and will definitely come back again and book another trip with them!
I was nervous about doing a discovery dive but I always wanted to try it cuz my boyfriend dives. But CJ made it so easy, I couldn’t believe how good I did! He was very focused and patient and gave me a ton of confidence! I’m coming back to Key West as soon as I can so CJ can help me get my OWD certification. I Highly recommend CJ at Bone Island Divers!
My son and I hadn’t been diving together in 20+ years. CJ and Lisa made the experience very memorable. CJ made renting our equipment a breeze, everything was already stowed on the boat when we arrived. He was very familiar with the reef and knew where to find some cool stuff like a goliath grouper, an eel and some hogfish. We also saw a reef shark and 2 stingrays. We plan to return with our wives to dive and do a beach charter with them too. I highly recommend these guys.
I felt totally confident and at ease with our dive instructor CJ Jess. The explanation CJ gave us were precise and easy to understand. I would certainly recommend!
